Aragón reaffirms itself as a benchmark wine region with its participation in the Barcelona Wine Week 2026, where 33 wineries from Aragón present themselves under the brand «Aragón, true flavor.» This international event attracts 26,000 visitors, 1,350 wineries, and 90 Protected Designations of Origin, establishing itself as a showcase for quality wines.
Visibility and cohesion under a common brand
The presence of the wineries from Aragón at the fair is organized under the agrifood promotion brand «Aragón, true flavor.» Amparo Cuéllar, General Director of Innovation and Agrifood Promotion, emphasizes that this unification strategy enhances the visibility of Aragonese wine and projects a modern and coherent image. This initiative aims not only to increase the notoriety of the products but also to establish a solid positioning in the international market.
New features and proposals for the 2026 edition
One of the main new features of the 2026 edition is the tasting titled «Hidden Aragón: Garnachas from Viñadores,» led by the prestigious Aragonese Master of Wine Fernando Mora. This activity aims to highlight the uniqueness and origin of the region’s wines, offering visitors the opportunity to taste an exclusive selection of garnachas. Additionally, the Aragón space includes a tasting area, allowing industry professionals to sample wines from all the wineries present.
Strategy for the internationalization of Aragonese wine
Participation in the Barcelona Wine Week is a key component of the strategy by the Agriculture Department of the Government of Aragón to support the internationalization of the winemaking sector. This effort seeks not only to strengthen the sector as a regional economic engine but also to position Aragonese wine as an ambassador of the region’s quality and tradition in the global market. Through these actions, Aragón aims not only to consolidate its presence at international events but also to foster the growth and recognition of its products worldwide.
