Araven Updates 50 HoReCa Products with Tritan Renew

Araven has incorporated Tritan Renew, the material developed by Eastman, into its Gastronorm pans, GN lids and square foodservice containers. The new product lines, which replace earlier polycarbonate versions, combine recycled content allocated through mass balance, BPA-free composition, transparency and durability for professional use.

Araven upgrades nearly 50 foodservice products with Tritan Renew

The three updated ranges comprise nearly 50 product references, each containing at least 25 percent recycled material allocated through a mass-balance system. Eastman’s molecular recycling process converts hard-to-recycle plastic waste into new raw materials.

The material retains the transparency and durability of standard Tritan and is manufactured without BPA. In recycled-content terms, a 22-liter square container incorporates an amount equivalent to about 34 single-use 500-milliliter bottles, while a 26-liter Gastronorm pan is equivalent to more than 30 recycled bottles.

The upgrade also responds to new European regulatory requirements for food-contact materials. According to the information provided, the products are designed for use in kitchens, preparation areas and service environments at temperatures between -40 ºC and +90 ºC, within recommended conditions of use.

Pans, lids and containers for food storage and foodservice

Araven’s premium Gastronorm pan range includes up to 25 product references in different GN formats and capacities ranging from 0.6 to 26.6 liters. They feature airtight lids for food storage, a characteristic particularly suited to protein-rich products such as meat and fish, as it limits air exposure and reduces oxidation.

The Gastronorm lid range comprises 12 product references, including models with and without a notch. Notched versions accommodate spoons and other utensils during service while protecting food from environmental exposure in display cases, buffets or steam tables. Lids without a notch are designed for storing vegetables, preventing water condensation on the container walls.

The square containers are intended for transporting and storing sauces, liquids and dry foods that are sensitive to humidity. They are sold in seven capacities, from 2 to 22 liters, and their format is designed to optimize storage space. The material does not stain or absorb odors, while the lids provide an airtight seal and external side handles make them easier to handle.

Durability, industrial washing and food traceability

Tritan Renew is designed to resist deformation and breakage during repeated use, while maintaining its transparency after industrial dishwasher cycles. The material is also resistant to stains and odors and has a long service life, factors that can reduce the need for replacements and lower cost per use.

All pans and containers include Araven’s integrated label, designed to identify contents and facilitate food traceability in day-to-day operations. Araven, founded in 1976 and headquartered in Zaragoza, where it also operates its main distribution center, has been part of U.S.-based CFS Brands since 2024 and sells its products in more than 70 countries.
