CEOE Aragón, the Aragonese Development Institute (IAF), Ibercaja and Fundación Ibercaja have unveiled Escala Aragón, a program aimed at established companies in Aragón seeking to embark on a new phase of growth. The initiative is expected to reach up to 140 companies and provide tailored support for their management teams.
Escala Aragón targets companies with between 150 and 250 employees
The program is aimed at companies with headquarters or operational centers in Aragón, workforces of between 150 and 250 professionals, and at least 10 years of operating history. Companies must demonstrate financial soundness, growth potential and a commitment to entering a new stage of development.
Participation also requires an explicit commitment from owners and senior management, as well as the allocation of time, teams and executives to implement the planned program. The initiative is not designed as a mass call for applications, but rather as a process aimed at those making strategic decisions at each company.
Escala Aragón seeks to promote growth that extends beyond higher revenue, headcount or facilities. Its approach focuses on strengthening capabilities, leadership, connections and vision to foster profitable, sustainable and competitive development.
Assessment, Escala Plan and 10 months of business support
The program will begin with an individualized assessment of each company and the development of the so-called Escala Plan. From that stage onward, it will include a period of intensive support, regular networking activities, the creation of a business community and subsequent project monitoring.
The initial program will last 10 months. Assessments and individual plans will be developed between late 2026 and January 2027; the core support phase will run for six months, through July 2027.
The overall activities will conclude in September 2027, when the business community is expected to be consolidated. Companies will then receive 12 months of post-program follow-up, from September 2027 through September 2028.
Applications for Escala Aragón open through November 19
The program was presented on November 5, 2026, at the Espacio Ibercaja Xplora in Zaragoza. Participants included IAF Managing Director Daniel Rey; CEOE Aragón President Benito Tesier; Ibercaja Director of Communications, Brand and Institutional Relations Enrique Barbero; and Fundación Ibercaja Deputy Director Marta Candela.
Interested companies may apply through November 19 via the IAF website, iaf.es/escala, or by email at info@iaf.es. The initiative aims to strengthen Aragón’s business fabric, boost employment, investment and economic activity, and help retain corporate decision-making centers in the region.
