The Aragonese Vocational Training (FP) has highlighted its potential at the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery (FIMA) held in Zaragoza. With a stand dedicated to agro-food training, the event served to showcase the employment and specialization opportunities offered by this sector. The presence of FP at FIMA underscores the importance of connecting education with the needs of the labor market.
Strategic collaborations to boost the sector
During the event, Luis Mallada, General Director of Planning, Centers, and Vocational Training of the Government of Aragon, met with representatives from various companies in the agri-food and agro-industrial sectors. These meetings focused on identifying labor needs and exploring new ways of collaboration. The main objective was to detect emerging profiles and adapt training programs to the challenges of modernization in the sector.
Collaboration with the productive fabric is crucial to ensure that Aragonese FP remains an effective pathway to employment. Companies and educational institutions work together to design programs that respond to the current and future demands of the labor market.
Promoting talent through meetings and presentations
The Fima Conecta Talento space was the setting for a meeting with students, where the role of FP as a gateway to the labor market in the agro-food sector was highlighted. Miguel Ángel Hernández, Technical Advisor of FP at the Department of Education, gave a talk on the Dual FP model, explaining its advantages and requirements for participation from both educational centers and companies.
Additionally, Lourdes Gil, Director of the Agency for Professional Qualifications of Aragon, led a session on competency accreditation. This initiative aims to guide workers on the official recognition of their work experience, facilitating their integration and mobility in the labor market.
Commitment to the economic development of Aragon
The participation of Aragonese FP at FIMA reaffirms the commitment of the Department of Education to connect education and employment. This effort seeks to enhance collaboration with the productive sector and foster the attraction of new talent to a strategic sector for the economic development of Aragon. Participation in events like FIMA is essential to consolidate the relationship between vocational training and the needs of the labor market, ensuring that students are prepared for future challenges.
