The Juan Cabré Museum Hosts «Geometry and Pulsation» by Amadeu Civera

The Juan Cabré Museum in Calaceite becomes the epicenter of contemporary art with the exhibition «Geometry and Pulse» by Amadeu Civera. From March 12 to June 28, 2026, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a showcase that explores the interaction between geometric order and the freedom of artistic gesture.

Amadeu Civera: From the streets to the canvas

Amadeu Civera, originally from Sagunto and residing in Calaceite, has taken his training in graffiti to a new level in the art world. With a unique ability to translate the intensity of urban art to the canvas, Civera combines geometric rigor with vibrant gestural energy. His work is characterized by the fusion of these elements, creating a constant dialogue between restraint and overflow, transforming geometry into a dynamic organism.

Civera’s work reflects his skill in capturing the essence of the street, where immediacy and layering are constants. The exhibition «Geometry and Pulse» is a testament to his ability to challenge traditional artistic norms, establishing a balance between structure and spontaneity.

Exploring tension in «Geometry and Pulse»

The conceptual proposal of the exhibition focuses on the tension between order and the freedom of gesture. Civera’s compositions begin with geometric structures that act as defined territories but are open to the intervention of color and spontaneous brushwork. These layers of color and transparencies disrupt the stillness of the pictorial space, inviting the viewer to experience an unstable equilibrium where the predictable becomes unexpected.

The visitor finds themselves in a scenario where the geometric structure opens up to allow for the unpredictable, reflecting the duality between norm and impulse that characterizes Civera’s work.
