Aragón Awards: Details and Participation
The Government of Aragón has announced the II Aragón Awards for Design and Business, a re-edition of the awards held in 2023. The call recognizes the importance of design in the competitiveness of Aragón’s businesses. The deadline for submitting applications is November 28.
The awards are distributed into five awards divided into three main categories aimed at product manufacturing or promotional companies, design professionals, design service companies, and innovative entities based in Aragón.
Companies has two subcategories: Product Award (innovative, aesthetic, and functional design produced in Aragón) and Product-Brand Presentation Award (visual identity, packaging, and communication designed and executed in Aragón).
Design professionals and design service companies recognize specialists in industrial, graphic, service, and digital design with a minimum of ten years of experience.
Special Mention Aragón Design includes two categories: Innovative Entity (noteworthy trajectory in innovation) and Support for Innovation (entities that promote innovation in other organizations).
Mar Paños, General Director of Industrial Promotion and Innovation, emphasized that «industrial design is key to the competitiveness of companies. Aragón has a significant industrial fabric that stands out for its innovation in processes and designs, which is important to recognize.»
In the first edition of 2023, the awarded were Laboratorio Verkos in the Brand Companies category; Araven in Product Companies; and Activa Diseño Industrial and Versus Estudio Gráfico in Design Professionals and Design Service Companies.
