Ibercaja Foundation Launches Thought Forum in Zaragoza

Ibercaja Foundation launches the Ibercaja Foundation Forum, a new series of conferences and conversations aimed at bringing quality knowledge to the public. The initiative begins on Wednesday, November 12, at the Patio de la Infanta in Zaragoza, with a lecture by Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, former Vice President of the Government of Spain.

The first session will feature Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, advisor to the Council of State, who will converse with journalist Encarna Samitier at 7 PM. Admission is free with prior registration through the foundation’s website.

Calendar of Featured Speakers

The forum will run until April 2026 with the following participants:

  • December 10: Elvira Pelet, medical general and deputy director of the Central Defense Hospital Gómez Ulla, in dialogue with Raquel Fuertes, director of CARTV.
  • January 14, 2026: David Trueba, writer, journalist, film director, and screenwriter, accompanied by José Luis Melero, recipient of the Aragonese Letters Prize.
  • February 11: Daniel Gascón and Víctor Lapuente, prominent analysts in the current landscape.
  • April 8: Mateo Valero, director of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, in conversation with Genoveva Crespo, journalist and former Director of Communication at Ibercaja Banco.

The series aims to address current issues with rigor and quality, providing a space where prominent personalities and professionals from various disciplines share their experiences and reflections. Ibercaja Foundation drives this project with a commitment to continuity, fostering a forum for thought and current affairs within the community.
