The Government of Aragon Completes Payment of the Remaining Balance of Direct Payments from the CAP 2025 for June, Raising the Execution Rate of Managed Files to 90%

The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food of the Government of Aragon has made a new payment of 36 million euros related to the direct payments from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for the 2025 campaign. The transfer benefits 18,653 Aragonese farmers and ranchers and represents one of the last disbursements in the ordinary payment calendar planned for this fiscal year. More information here

With this payment, the Autonomous Community achieves a high execution level for the campaign, as 90% of the files have been fully settled, while the remaining 10% are pending administrative issues or additional controls, which are common in this type of community aid.

Over 432 Million Euros Disbursed in the 2025 Campaign

Since the beginning of the payment campaign, Aragon has already transferred 432 million euros corresponding to direct payments from the CAP, a figure that reflects the importance of these funds for supporting the economic sustainability of the Aragonese primary sector.

These payments are one of the main instruments for supporting the income of farmers and ranchers, helping to ensure the viability of farms, the stability of agri-food production, and the maintenance of economic activity in rural areas.

Payments Targeted at Income and Sustainability

The payments correspond to various lines of direct aid outlined in the new Common Agricultural Policy, including basic income support, redistributive payment, eco-schemes, and other aid associated with specific productive sectors.

The CAP aims to combine economic support for farms with the incorporation of more sustainable agricultural and livestock practices, incentivizing actions related to soil protection, biodiversity, and reducing environmental impact.direct payments from the CAP 2025

Processing of Pending Files Continues

The Department of Agriculture will continue in the coming months to resolve the files that remain open for various administrative or technical reasons. Once the necessary verifications are completed, beneficiaries will receive the outstanding amounts within the timelines established by community regulations.

The management of these aids represents one of the largest administrative processes faced annually by the Government of Aragon, both in terms of the number of beneficiaries and the economic amounts involved.

With this new payment for June, the regional government maintains the planned calendar for the 2025 campaign and moves closer to the definitive closure of files that provide essential support for thousands of agricultural and livestock operations throughout Aragon.
