The Provincial Council of Zaragoza has announced a new edition of the artistic competition ‘Punto Final’, a cultural initiative inviting creators from various disciplines to reflect on death through art.
The contest, organized in the Zaragoza town of Quinto, has established itself in recent years as a unique proposal within the Aragonese cultural scene. Its concept revolves around a universal theme — death as an inseparable part of life — which participants approach from different creative languages.
The competition is multidisciplinary and includes several artistic categories, such as narrative, short film, and photography. Each category has monetary prizes aimed at recognizing the best submitted works.
The call for entries is open to creators interested in exploring this theme from a personal perspective, with proposals that may range from reflection and artistic sensitivity to even symbolic reinterpretations of the end of life.
In addition to the competition, the initiative usually features a parallel cultural program that includes public activities, such as screenings, exhibitions, or meetings related to the world of culture and creation.
With this proposal, the Provincial Council of Zaragoza and the City Council of Quinto seek to promote cultural participation, foster creativity, and open a space for artistic dialogue on a reality that is as universal as it is inevitable.
