Calavera brings acoustic pop to Roda de Isábena Cathedral
Aragonese musician and singer Álex Ortega, who leads the Calavera project, will give an acoustic concert on Saturday, October 24, at 6:30 p.m. at Roda de Isábena Cathedral.
Calavera delivers an upbeat pop sound built around songs with multiple sonic layers, in which vocal melody takes center stage. Its lyrics explore themes including love and heartbreak, while its two released albums have earned acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
The Aragonia Chamber Orchestra to perform at the Church of San Francisco in Lumpiaque
The Aragonia Chamber Orchestra will take over on Sunday, October 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the Church of San Francisco in Lumpiaque. The ensemble will perform its repertoire at a venue joining the cultural program taking place across Aragón.
The orchestra was founded in Zaragoza in late 2001 through the coming together of several musicians. Originally a plucked-string ensemble, it has evolved into a chamber group featuring string and woodwind instruments.
Its repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to contemporary music and also includes works outside the classical canon. One of its areas of focus is rediscovering overlooked works and composers.
