The Board of Directors of the Public Business Corporation of Aragón (CEPA) has renewed its positions, most notably appointing Eva Valle as president and Eloy Suárez as CEO. These changes, announced on May 26, 2026, aim to strengthen leadership within the group of companies under the Government of Aragón.
Appointments and Renewal of Positions at CEPA
In a recent meeting of the Board of Directors of the Public Business Corporation of Aragón, a complete renewal of its positions took place. Eva Valle, currently the Regional Minister of Economy, Competitiveness, and Employment, has been designated president, bringing her economic expertise to the corporation’s leadership.
Meanwhile, Eloy Suárez has taken on the role of CEO. Suárez, a law graduate, has a extensive background in the Cortes Generales, the Cortes of Aragón, and the Zaragoza City Council, strengthening his profile to lead the government-owned companies.
Composition of the New Board of Directors
The renewed Board of Directors includes, in addition to Eva Valle and Eloy Suárez, Mar Vaquero, the Deputy Prime Minister, and councilors Octavio López, Arancha Simón, and Luis Biendicho. This team is completed by Ignacio Barquero, Javier Rincón, Ismael Jorcano, Joaquín Bernal, and Antonio Cobo.
The composition of the Board aims to reflect the diversity of citizen interests, representing not only the Government of Aragón but also the main opposition parliamentary groups, in accordance with the agreement of the Cortes of Aragón.
Structure and Objectives of the Public Business Corporation of Aragón
The Public Business Corporation of Aragón, established on December 11, 2007, is the sole entity of the Government of Aragón that centralizes its direct business holdings. Its mission is to modernize and professionalize public companies, optimize management, and centralize financial and investment processes.
Currently, the corporation controls 16 public companies, including Aragón Plataforma Logística, Aragón Exterior, Sarga, Sodiar, and Walqa. It also participates in five public majority-owned enterprises and 15 private companies, reflecting its broad reach within the business ecosystem of the autonomous community.
