The Princess of Girona Foundation has organized a dual event at CaixaForum Madrid on June 10, 2025, which includes the premiere of the documentary Teachers’ Generation. The Documentary and the awarding of the School Prize 2024, highlighting a day dedicated to innovation and education.
The documentary Teachers’ Generation. The Documentary, produced by Secuoya Studios, follows five young teachers over five months in internships at various rural schools in Spain. Directed by Daniel San Román, the documentary illustrates educational methodologies adapted to rural environments and integration with nature. Its premiere is scheduled for June 10 on the Movistar+ platform.
Acknowledgment of Excellence and Innovation in Education
During the event, the Princess of Girona School Prize 2024 will be awarded, designed to recognize an educational institution distinguished by its creativity and transformative leadership. Among the finalists is the CEIP Ramiro Soláns in Zaragoza, known for its efforts to reduce school absenteeism and engage the community in the educational process; the IES Gerardo Diego in Pozuelo de Alarcón, which links teaching with the Sustainable Development Goals; the Piruetas Kindergarten in Madrid, with an integrated educational program for deaf and hearing children; the Colegio Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Móstoles, promoting autonomy and critical thinking; and the Centro Público Rural Aderán I in Huelva, which stands out for its focus on eco-education and international cooperation.
Graduation of the Fifth Cohort of the Teachers’ Generation Program
The event will also celebrate the graduation of the fifth cohort of the aforementioned program, which has trained future teachers in innovative educational methodologies applied in rural settings. The celebration will include the presentation Celebration of Learning scheduled from 4:15 PM to 6:00 PM, where the 30 participants will share their experiences and learnings.
The event is supported by significant partners such as TRIVU, Microsoft, and the Banco Sabadell Foundation, with institutional backing from the Móstoles City Council. It is expected that the award jury will consist of experts from the Botín Foundation, Samsung Spain, and the International University of La Rioja, among others.
