The Zaragoza Airport has experienced remarkable growth in its cargo activities during April 2026, reaching 17,724 tons, which represents an increase of 28.4% compared to the same month last year. This increase consolidates its position as the third airport with the highest cargo volume in Aena’s network in Spain, only behind Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
Outstanding Performance in April
In April, the Zaragoza Airport stood out not only in cargo but also in the number of passengers and aircraft movements. 63,063 travelers were recorded along with a total of 987 landings and takeoffs, which indicates an increase of 6.1% compared to April 2025. These figures reflect the growing importance of the airport in the national infrastructure.
Cumulative Growth in 2026
From January to April 2026, Zaragoza managed 63,357 tons of goods, an increase of 22.2% compared to the same period last year. However, the number of passengers experienced a slight decrease of 0.5%, totaling 206,716 travelers. Aircraft movements, on the other hand, grew by 16%, reaching 3,474.
