Hospital San Juan de Dios in Zaragoza Welcomes 46 Students in 2025

The San Juan de Dios Hospital in Zaragoza celebrated the 8th of September, 2025 with a welcome day for 46 students who started their internships at the healthcare center. The students come from various medical specialties, and their training will extend over variable periods according to their academic qualifications.

The students belong to the fields of Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nursing Auxiliary Technicians (TCAE), Radiology, Pharmacy, and Health Documentation. During the welcome day, they received a presentation about the history, values, and identity of the hospital, with special emphasis on person-centered care and technological innovation.

The hospital highlighted its advances in neurorehabilitation, hemodialysis, pediatric dental health, and palliative care, establishing itself as a benchmark in these areas within Aragón. The institution combines cutting-edge technology with humanized care as its distinctive hallmark.

You have started your journey in the right place. Here, you transition from theory to action, in an environment where technique meets the most human values. We want you to learn not only to care but also to accompany, to listen, and to work as a team – Berta Sáez, Managing Director.

A student who had already started her internship shared her testimony about the experience: The experience has been very good. From the first day, we felt part of the team. They let us do, they teach us closely, and the interaction with patients has been very personal. The communication between aides, nurses, and doctors is spectacular, and we are very happy.

The internship periods vary according to the qualification and academic year. While some students will remain for a few weeks, others will be there for several months, and those with longer durations will finish in December. With the start of the new year, new groups of students will join, ensuring the continuity of educational activities and the hospital’s commitment to training future healthcare professionals.
