The Government of Aragon, in collaboration with the Aragonese Council of Chambers of Commerce, has launched an innovative training program in Artificial Intelligence aimed at the tourism sector. This digital transformation plan seeks to equip tourism professionals with digital skills, combining in-person sessions with a complete program of free online training.
In-person sessions in the three Aragonese provinces
The in-person sessions will take place between January 15 and January 27, 2026, starting in Teruel on January 15, followed by Zaragoza on January 20, and culminating in Huesca on January 27. Organized by IA Experience, these sessions will include presentations on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on tourism management, brand positioning strategies, and application development through AI. Additionally, networking opportunities will be provided, including a coffee break and a «Meet & Eat» closing event.
Online training in digital skills
The program Digital Skills for Tourism – PLAY ARAGÓN has begun its second edition on January 12, 2026, and the opening of registrations for a third edition starting February 16, 2026, has already been announced. The training, completely free, consists of 150 hours, of which 40 are synchronous live sessions and 110 asynchronous. This course is designed to equip participants with skills in personalizing experiences through AI, online positioning, creating digital content, cybersecurity, and data analysis.
Objectives and funding of the program
Aimed at professionals in the tourism sector, entrepreneurs, unemployed individuals, youth, destination managers, and community managers, the program seeks to update participants’ digital skills. Funded by the NextGenerationEU funds through the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, this initiative allows Aragonese SMEs and professionals to make a technological leap at no cost. Registration for both in-person events and online courses is free, thereby facilitating access to this valuable training.
