Ibercaja increases mortgage financing in Aragon by 30%

The bank signed 1,503 mortgage transactions between January and June, representing a 15% year-over-year increase. The average loan amount exceeded €148,000.

This progress was also reflected in its position in the Aragon market. Ibercaja’s mortgage market share rose by 4.5% compared with its level in December 2025, according to data provided by the bank.

Ibercaja attributes the performance of its business to customer trust and a model based on personalized support, local presence, and tailoring financing to the needs of each household. The bank views the increase within a context of gradually recovering residential demand.

Customers under 35 account for 39.6% of mortgages originated

Customers aged up to 35 accounted for 39.6% of all mortgages originated by Ibercaja in Aragon during the first half of 2026. This group received €83 million in financing, equivalent to 37% of total mortgage volume.

The bank identifies young people’s access to their first home as one of the Autonomous Community’s main social and economic challenges. For the remainder of 2026, it plans to maintain its focus on facilitating financing for young people and families in what it describes as a dynamic real estate market.

Ibercaja’s mortgage offering includes the Hipotecas Vamos range, with fixed-rate and hybrid options. It also links these products to the Contucasa savings account, which offers an incentive of €500 for loans of €120,000 or more, and 0.42% of the loan amount when financing is below that threshold.
