MotoGP Preseason in Alcañiz: World Champion Visits Enhance MotorLand’s Prestige and Open Doors for New Investments

MotorLand Aragón, the sports and technological complex located in Alcañiz (Teruel), once again establishes itself as a prime destination for the training of elite riders in the MotoGP World Championship. In the recent pre-season weeks of 2026, prominent figures such as Joan Mir and Maverick Viñales have chosen its facilities to refine their physical and technical skills ahead of the start of the World Championship, also drawing attention to the ecosystem surrounding the circuit.

According to recent information published in specialized media such as MOTOSAN and Aragón Deporte, these top riders have opted for the alternative layouts of MotorLand: the International Karting track and the motocross circuit. Joan Mir and Maverick Viñales— the latter accompanied by young Aragonese talent Víctor Cubeles— have been on the International Karting track, a wide and varied course that allows the use of high-capacity motorcycles, ideal for simulating demands close to those of MotoGP. Meanwhile, Pedro Acosta has preferred the off-road discipline, training on the motocross circuit alongside the Adrián Garín School and other riders, taking advantage of the challenging curves and uneven terrain to work on aspects such as endurance, tire management, and adaptability to variable conditions.

This choice is not coincidental. MotorLand Aragón offers a unique combination of facilities: a top-level racing circuit (certified for MotoGP), but also karting tracks adaptable for large motorcycles and a high-quality motocross layout. This allows riders to diversify their winter training, complementing sessions on asphalt with work on dirt or in more technical environments, something particularly valuable in a pre-season where official tests (such as those in Malaysia or Thailand) have not yet begun or are limited.

The presence of these riders not only validates the technical quality of the facilities but also generates a significant impact in terms of image and investment opportunities. MotorLand Aragón positions itself as an elite training «hub,» multiplying its appeal to sponsors, brands, and investment entities.

  • Global projection and brand reinforcement — Photos, videos, and mentions in social media and the press during these private training sessions elevate the prestige of MotorLand as a premium destination. Riders like Mir (world champion) or Viñales (with multiple victories in MotoGP) act as involuntary ambassadors, reinforcing the perception of a «riders’ circuit» before Dorna Sports (and now Liberty Media). This is key to negotiating the continuity of the Aragón Grand Prix on the calendar beyond 2026.
  • Economic activity and recurring profitability — These visits boost track rentals during low periods. MotorLand has recently opened the International Karting track for free sessions for motorcycles and karts (January 30-31 and February 1, 2026), inviting amateurs and professionals to ride «on the same track where the best in the world train.» With over 270 days of annual activity in previous years, the economic impact on Teruel and Aragón is measured in hundreds of millions of euros accumulated through tourism, hospitality, and commerce.
  • Talent ecosystem and attraction of investments — Based in the TechnoPark MotorLand, the company Gaman Racing Global Service plays a key role in this ecosystem. Founded by Jesús Agenjo Martínez, Gaman Racing has become a global reference in representing and managing young motorcycle riders, with over 20 talents from Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia under its guidance. Its philosophy —»children who play football don’t pay for it, and neither should riders»— prioritizes the development of talent without economic barriers, advising in negotiations with teams, brands, and sponsors to capitalize on their global image. They represent prospects like Víctor Cubeles (who trains at MotorLand and has recently linked his career with Jorge Lorenzo), facilitating partnerships that attract investment. Their headquarters in Alcañiz takes advantage of the «ideal showcase» of the circuit, attracting sponsors and international collaborations that benefit both the rider and the territory.

In a context where the MotoGP World Championship seeks expansion and sustainability, circuits like MotorLand demonstrate that the combination of elite facilities, versatility, and a professional management ecosystem (with companies like Gaman Racing fostering young talent) generates strategic returns. These pre-season visits not only prepare champions but also solidify Aragón as a sports investment hub, attracting capital in infrastructure, events, and rider development that can have repercussions throughout the year.
