The Government of Aragon has taken a significant step in improving education by accrediting 270 new directors for pre-university educational centers. This official course, which began this week, demonstrates the strong commitment of Aragonese teachers to educational quality, according to José María Cabello, the General Director of Personnel, Training, and Innovation.
An Integrated Training Program for Teachers
The training is aimed at teachers from various educational levels, including Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, Special Regime Education, and Adult Education. This broad approach ensures that the new directors are prepared to face the challenges of different educational contexts.
The course is structured around four main axes, in accordance with Royal Decree 894/2014, which regulates the management function. These axes are: leadership, team management, and motivation; regulatory framework and economic-administrative management; change management, innovation, and quality assessment; and communication and conflict resolution.
Methodology and Duration of the Course
Organized by the Department of Education through the Ángel Sanz Briz Teacher Training Center in Teruel, the program will run until June 2. The methodology combines synchronous sessions and online work, allowing participants to access training flexibly through the Department of Education’s platform.
This hybrid model not only facilitates the participation of a greater number of teachers but also promotes a more dynamic learning experience tailored to the individual needs of participants.
Impact on Educational Quality
From the General Directorate of Personnel, Training, and Innovation, as well as the Directorate of Inspection of Aragon, it is highlighted that a well-prepared management team is essential for improving the quality and equity of teaching. The management function thus positions itself as a key factor for student coexistence and success, reinforcing the importance of having educational leaders capable of facing the challenges of today’s educational system.
