The Zaragoza Provincial Council is preparing a new concertation plan funded with 74 million euros, which will be distributed among all municipalities in the province as completely unconditional aid. The local governments will be able to allocate these funds to the needs they consider priorities, ranging from investments to current expenses or improvements in municipal services.
The provincial institution highlights that this is the most ambitious concertation plan promoted so far and that its unconditional nature aims to provide municipalities with maximum autonomy to manage the resources. The goal is to facilitate local planning and respond to the diverse realities of the territory, especially in the smaller towns.
With this program, the Provincial Council reaffirms its role as a direct support to local entities, ensuring stable and flexible funding in a demanding economic context. Additionally, the institution emphasizes that the distribution will be carried out using objective criteria to ensure that all municipalities receive sufficient funds to undertake their projects and improve the quality of life for their residents.
The plan will be approved in the coming weeks and will be one of the pillars of the provincial strategy for 2025, alongside other support lines aimed at enhancing territorial cohesion and strengthening public municipal services.
