Eduard Jubert Takes Over as President of TDAragón in 2025

TDAragón Begins a New Stage Under the Presidency of Eduard Jubert

The Aragon Active Tourism Business Association (TDAragón) has elected Eduard Jubert as its new president. He assumes the position with a commitment to strengthening professionalism, safety, and institutional dialogue in the active tourism sector. Inés Dewulf, the former president, remains involved with the board of directors as vice president, ensuring the continuity of the project.

Eduard Jubert: Profile of the New President

Eduard Jubert is a whitewater and canyoning guide, director, and co-founder of the company Kayak Campo. He has extensive experience within TDAragón, where he has been part of the Board of Directors and served as secretary in recent years. His election was conducted by the Assembly on October 29, 2025.

Inés Dewulf called for early elections on October 22 for personal reasons, without completing her third term that began in 2023. Despite this transition, the continuity of a team committed to the professionalization of the sector remains intact.

Priorities of the New Board

Jubert has identified five key priorities for his management:

  • Professionalization and qualification of the sector
  • Safety and combating intrusion
  • Cross-dialogue with DGA, CHE, and DPH
  • National and international promotion of the destination
  • Creating more jobs and territorial attachment

TDAragón will convene a technical table with the Government of Aragon to agree on the schedule for the PEAC 2026 and improve the registration of companies. In addition, a working group with the Attached Police will be reactivated to intensify inspections against intrusion, contributions will be presented to the Special Drought Plan, and a joint campaign will be developed with the Provincial Council of Huesca for the world final of the World Travel Awards.

Legacy of Inés Dewulf’s Management

During Inés Dewulf’s presidency, TDAragón achieved the approval of the Decree 39/2021, dated February 10, which regulates companies in the sector and establishes standards for quality, safety, and customer service, with significant participation from the association.

According to the socioeconomic study of active tourism by the Aragon Mountain Observatory, the sector generates more than 4,800 jobs and has an impact exceeding 550 million euros.

The «Safe Adventure Commitment» label was promoted alongside the Government of Aragon and the IAF, coordinating national protocols. Collaboration with the Attached Police was also intensified to combat professional intrusion.

TDAragón presented objections in water management plans before the CHE, participated in the defense of the Gállego River, which resulted in the cancellation of the Biscarrués dam project, and collaborated in regulating activities to protect the Pyrenean frog.

The permanent PEAC for Guide in Whitewater (AFDQ201) was implemented, accrediting rafting and kayaking professionals based on experience, consolidating a pioneering model of educational recognition.

TDAragón maintained constant dialogue with the State Secretary for Tourism and strengthened alliances with the Provincial Council of Huesca, achieving recognition with the European Adventure Tourism Awards in 2023 and 2025.

Importance of TDAragón in the Sector

The Aragon Active Tourism Business Association brings together companies from the three Aragonese provinces and is the most representative group in the sector. In 2024-2025, the framework reaches hundreds of companies generating around 4,800 jobs with an impact exceeding 550 million euros.
