The Government of Aragón, through the Aragonese Institute of Employment (INAEM), has launched the third and final call for the Plan The WAVE PLUS 2025. This initiative aims to enhance technological vocational training and improve employability in the Autonomous Community.
The call, named The WAVE PLUS for the Unemployed, has a budget of 2 million euros. It is expected to provide training for around 4,000 participants through approximately 380 short courses, primarily ranging from 20 to 100 hours, in both face-to-face and virtual classroom formats. The training actions are part of the SEPE’s Catalog of Training Specialties, granting them official status. Although they do not lead to professional certificates, they are specifically designed to meet the real needs of the labor market, with particular emphasis on digital and technological skills.
The courses are primarily aimed at unemployed workers, who must represent at least 70% of those starting the courses. Participants must be registered as job seekers with the Public Employment Service. Fixed-discontinuous workers during non-occupational periods are considered unemployed.
Priority is given to low-skilled workers, long-term unemployed individuals, refugees, applicants or beneficiaries of international protection, women who have not entered the labor market for more than five years, women residing in municipalities with fewer than 30,000 inhabitants, people with disabilities, and individuals in situations or at risk of exclusion.
Training centers accredited by the INAEM have five working days from the official publication to apply for these grants. The courses must be completed by October 26, 2026.
Total Impact of the Program
With this third call, the Plan The WAVE PLUS 2025 reaches a total investment of 13 million euros, adding the previous two calls directed towards employed individuals (8 and 3 million respectively). Altogether, it is estimated that 26,000 workers will benefit from the program, which will be implemented between late 2025 and October 2026.
