Aragon Government Revives 50% Vouchers to Boost Inn Services and Local Tourism

The Government of Aragón has relaunched the tourist voucher campaign for the hospederías in the region, an initiative aimed at boosting domestic tourism and supporting these establishments distributed throughout Aragón.

The campaign will be active throughout 2026 and has a budget of €209,800, representing a 40% increase compared to the previous year. The program finances 50% of the cost of accommodation and breakfast for a one-night stay in a double room, including VAT, while additional services are excluded from the subsidy.

Who Can Benefit

The vouchers are aimed at adults born or residing in Aragón. Verification will be done using a national ID or a certificate of residence corresponding to the current year.

Each beneficiary can use a maximum of five vouchers during the campaign, and the discount will be applied directly by each hospedería on the final bill, always in accordance with the official rates in effect at the time of booking.

Nine Establishments Across Aragón

The budget will be distributed among the nine hospederías that are part of the regional network, based on their accommodation capacity. These include iconic establishments such as the Monastery of San Juan de la Peña, the Monastery of Rueda, the Palacio Matutano-Daudén in La Iglesuela del Cid, the Palacio de Allepuz, the hospedería of Roda de Isábena, the Castillo Papa Luna in Illueca, Loarre, the Casa Cortés in Sádaba, and the Mesón de la Dolores in Calatayud.

Some of these hospederías remain closed during part of the low season, so the vouchers can be used once their facilities reopen. According to the planned schedule, the Monastery of San Juan de la Peña will resume operations on March 11, while the Monastery of Rueda and the Palacio de Allepuz will reopen on April 1.

A Tool to Boost Local Tourism

Beyond the financial discount, the initiative aims to strengthen proximity tourism by encouraging Aragón residents to discover or rediscover some of the region’s most representative cultural and natural sites.

The hospederías offer a unique proposition within the Aragón tourism landscape, often located in historic buildings or sites of great cultural and scenic value. Programs like this help improve occupancy rates outside of peak demand periods and generate economic activity in municipalities where tourism serves as a significant engine for development.

An Opportunity to Explore Aragón

The reintroduction of this campaign solidifies a formula that the regional government has maintained from previous years and which has helped connect the network of hospederías with thousands of Aragón travelers.

With an increased budget and the possibility of using up to five vouchers per person, the initiative aims to continue promoting a sustainable tourism model based on understanding the territory, supporting the local economy, and enhancing the historical and natural heritage of Aragón.
