In the province of Zaragoza, in the heart of the Cinco Villas region, is the Castle of Biel, an architectural jewel that takes us back to the Middle Ages. The origin of this imposing castle dates back to the reign of Sancho III el Mayor, although it is believed that the tower is the work of Norman builders in the time of Sancho Ramirez around 1060.

The palace-tower structure allowed the wooden floor of each floor to be supported by four semicircular arches from the previous floor.
Although Biel Castle has undergone numerous modifications over the centuries, its beauty and grandeur have been preserved to this day. Currently, the castle is undergoing a process of restoration and has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest by the Government of Aragon.
