Zaragoza enters the final month before the 2026 Fiestas del Pilar with many of its key events already set. The celebrations will officially begin on Saturday, October 10, and run through Sunday, October 18, with nine days once again combining major traditional events with concerts, children’s activities, food and beverage offerings, and festive venues across the city.
The opening proclamation will take place at 9 p.m. on Saturday the 10th from the City Hall balcony. This year, there will not be a single protagonist: the proclamation will be delivered by professionals from Zaragoza City Hall’s Firefighting, Rescue and Civil Protection Service, in recognition of their work during a summer marked by wildfires.
Two days later will come the central day of the Pilar festivities. On Monday, October 12, the Flower Offering will be held, beginning at 6:30 a.m. and once again bringing together tens of thousands of participants before the Virgin in Plaza del Pilar.
Nearly 100,000 participants registered for the Offering
The 2026 Flower Offering already has its departure order set following the draw held on September 9. A total of 994 groups have registered this year, representing 99,980 participants through organizations and associations. They will be joined by those attending individually, for whom prior registration is not required.
Almochuel Town Hall will open the Offering at 6:30 a.m. The main routes will once again reach Plaza del Pilar via Alfonso I and Don Jaime I.
This year’s edition also includes several organizational changes. There will be checks to ensure that group compositions match registrations, a new individual entrance via San Jorge Street, and dedicated access for people with disabilities, reduced mobility, or chronic illnesses.
City Hall recommends that individual participants avoid, where possible, the period between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the largest crowds are expected.
The figures are slightly below those recorded in 2025, when more than 1,200 groups and around 120,000 offering participants took part. The Offering will nevertheless remain the festival’s best-attended event.
From Myke Towers to Viva Suecia, Saiko and Omar Courtz
The music program has been taking shape for months. Espacio Zity will once again host some of the largest concerts in Valdespartera and will begin even before the official start of the festivities.
Announced artists include Myke Towers, Viva Suecia, Mälmo 040, Taburete, Álvaro de Luna, Hey Kid, Saiko and Omar Courtz. The venue will also feature events such as Blackworks and the Electrolatino Festival, as well as a day bringing together Love of Lesbian, Dorian and León Benavente.
The Príncipe Felipe Pavilion will be another major music venue. La Oreja de Van Gogh is scheduled to perform on October 9 and 10, while Sergio Dalma will take the stage on Sunday the 11th with his Ritorno a Via Dalma tour.
The lineup will extend to other venues across the city. Among other acts, Zaragoza Auditorium will host Ryan Adams on October 15 as part of his European tour.
Beyond the concerts
The festivities will also maintain an extensive cultural program. The Congress Palace will host The Phantom of the Opera from October 8 to 18, while competitions associated with jota music, flowers and traditional Aragonese dress will hold their final stages during the festival period.
Teenagers will once again have the Fiesta Viral Light, scheduled for Sunday, October 11, at the Multiuse Hall and aimed at young people ages 14 to 17.
These events will be joined by the various venues that have already begun unveiling their new features for 2026. Food Trucks will return to San Pablo Park, Espacio Zity will add a fifth stage called «El Jardín,» and Oktoberfest will return to the Valdespartera fairgrounds.
Nine days of festivities
The calendar concentrates official celebrations across two full weekends. Following the opening proclamation on Saturday the 10th, the Flower Offering will take place on Monday the 12th, while Tuesday the 13th will feature two other traditional Pilar events: the Fruit Offering and the Crystal Rosary.
Sunday the 18th will mark the end of the festivities. Until then, Zaragoza will combine traditional celebrations with a program spread across the city center and venues including Valdespartera, the Príncipe Felipe, the Auditorium and San Pablo Park.
With less than a month to go before the Pilar festivities begin, much of the calendar is already in place. The release of the full program will help finalize an offering that this year will run for nine days, with the October 12 Flower Offering set to be its best-attended day.
