The 38th edition of the Salón Gourmets will take place in Madrid from April 7 to 10, where Aragón Alimentos will present a varied selection of Aragonese delicatessen products. This event is significant as it highlights the rich gastronomy and culinary innovation of the Aragón region.
Participation of Aragonese companies
A total of 24 Aragonese food companies, fourteen more than in the previous edition, will be present at the Salón Gourmets. These companies will have a space of 288 square meters provided by Aragón Alimentos, where they will showcase and demonstrate the use of their products in cuisine.
Activity program
The Aragón Alimentos stand will feature various areas, one for product exhibitions and another dedicated to dynamic activities and ‘showcooking’ events. The activity program is varied and begins on Monday, April 7, with a breakfast of Aragonese organic products. On this day, Origen Aragón, an association that groups regulatory councils of protected designations of origin and geographical indications in Aragón, will also be presented, offering tastings of emblematic products such as ternasco de Aragón, jamón de Teruel, and oils from Somontano and Bajo Aragón.
On Tuesday, April 8, the gastronomy of the province of Huesca will be in the spotlight, featuring products such as cheeses from Guara, chocolates from the Pyrenees, cured meats, rice dishes, and sweets, all accompanied by wines from the DOP Somontano. On Wednesday, April 9, Teruel’s gourmet products will take center stage, with presentations of black truffles from Teruel, caviar, and grilled sturgeon from Sarrión, as well as rice grown at the highest altitude in Spain.
Among the highlighted products are the cheeses from Biota (Zaragoza) and Perales de Alfambra (Teruel), where the most awarded cheese factory in Aragón is located, recognized at the 2024 World Cheese Awards. Participating companies include Catering 2000, Almazara Artal, Comarca Cinco Villas, La Despensa de Barbastro, Truficas, and many other organizations and local producers.
