More than 400 students from across Spain have participated in the seventh edition of the Visionarios TIC competition, an initiative by the Fundación hiberus and Fundación Ibercaja that has established itself as one of the leading national platforms for fostering technological vocations among the youth. The winning projects come from Cantabria, Madrid, and Navarra.
The final of the contest, held at the Espacio Joven of Fundación Ibercaja in Zaragoza, brought together ten finalist teams who defended their ideas before a multidisciplinary jury. The students presented a total of 107 projects from 15 educational centers, standing out for their creativity, focus on social impact, and innovative use of technology.
Awarded Projects
- First Prize: ‘The Intelligent Playground’, from IES Ricardo Bernardo de Valdecilla (Cantabria).
- Second Prize: ‘3.D.N.P.’, from Colegio Pureza de María (Madrid).
- Third Prize: ‘Guardians of the Air’, from IES Ribera del Arga de Peralta (Navarra).
The winners received their awards following presentations that showcased the high level of the participants. Among the ideas presented by the finalists were proposals such as technological systems for detecting bad habits and saving lives, artificial intelligence applied to educational optimization, and drones for improving air quality.
The jury, comprised of professionals from the technological, educational, and business sectors, assessed criteria such as originality, capacity for innovation, content quality, and the communication skills of the teams. From Fundación hiberus, Sandra Parrilla, the foundation’s director, and Isabel de Val, director of the Transformation Office, participated. From Fundación Ibercaja, Mayte Santos, head of the Education and Employability Area, and María Hernández, responsible for digital programs, were involved.
