The Government of Aragon has launched a call for aid to promote digital transformation in Vocational Training, allocating a total of €120,000 for innovation projects. This initiative aims to strengthen technological modernization and reinforce the connection between educational centers and the productive fabric of the region.
Boosting Digitalization in Vocational Training
The call is part of the VI Aragonese Plan for Vocational Training, which establishes the development of advanced digital and technological competencies as a strategic line. Innovation projects must focus on areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual reality, and automation, with a special emphasis on rural areas. This effort not only seeks to modernize education but also to prepare students for an increasingly digitalized labor market.
The projects are aimed at vocational training cycles and specialization courses, promoting applied digitalization and adapting to the technological needs of each professional family. The initiative thus intends to improve the quality of training and its relevance in the current economic context.
Participation and Requirements
To participate, projects must be presented by at least two public Vocational Training centers offering Grades D and E, in collaboration with a corresponding professional sector entity. Proposals must be original, viable, and aligned with the needs of the labor market. Additionally, they should include an initial diagnosis, clear objectives, defined work phases, impact indicators, a contingency plan, and an estimated budget.
The Innovation Center for Vocational Training of Aragon (CIFPA) will be responsible for coordinating the development of the projects, ensuring that the established objectives are met and maximizing the impact of the funding.
Funding and Deadlines
The maximum amount allocated per project is €120,000, with a limit of €24,000 for each participating center. Projects may also be co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports, as well as by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+ 2021-2027). Applications must be submitted before January 30, and approved projects must be completed by July 2026, with a final report due before August 31.
