220,000 Euros in Grants for Performing Arts in Zaragoza

The Zaragoza Provincial Council has launched a call for grants totaling €220,000 aimed at promoting theater, dance, and circus in Aragon. This initiative seeks not only to boost artistic production but also to enhance quality and innovation in the performing arts of the province. Applications can be submitted until April 13, providing a crucial opportunity for professionals in the sector.

Requirements for accessing the grants

The grants are directed at companies and professionals in the field of performing arts who have their social and tax domicile in Aragon. Additionally, it is essential that at least 70% of the members of these entities are registered in the autonomous community. Applicants must demonstrate the relevance of their theater, dance, or circus projects for the province of Zaragoza, thus ensuring a positive and significant impact on the territory.

Three funding modalities

The call is structured into three funding modalities, each adapted to different budget ranges. Modality 1 offers grants of up to €15,000, with a total of €20,000 available, covering up to 35% of the total project budget. Modality 2 encompasses projects with budgets between €15,000 and €40,000, distributing up to €100,000, with a maximum coverage of 40% of the budget. Finally, Modality 3 is designed for projects ranging from €40,000 to €90,000, also with a fund of €100,000, allowing grants of up to 50% of the total budget.

Conditions and objectives of the call

The submitted projects must be original and unpublished, with no restrictions on theme or genre. Each applicant may submit only one project in a single modality. The call covers production costs of performing arts works realized and paid for between January 1 and November 6, 2026. The main objectives include supporting the performing arts, giving visibility to artists and auxiliary industries at the national level, and facilitating access to culture in all municipalities, thus contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.
