Horeca Restaurantes Zaragoza launches Gastropasión 2026, a culinary celebration that coincides with Holy Week in Zaragoza. The official presentation took place on March 18 at the Zaragoza City Hall, highlighting a tasting of torrijas prepared by the students of Horeca Formación.
Lenten Delights: a gastronomic journey
From March 28 to April 6, Zaragoza will become the epicenter of Lenten cuisine with Gastropasión 2026. Numerous hospitality establishments will participate in this event, offering a gastrotour that includes traditional dishes such as cod, potajes de vigilia, and torrijas. The menus, which will be served at a fixed price, are designed to showcase the traditional cuisine of the season, including drinks in the offer.
Promotion of gastronomic heritage and local products
The main objective of Gastropasión 2026 is to preserve and promote traditional Lenten recipes, considered part of the cultural gastronomic heritage. This year, participating restaurants commit to using Aragonese products in their culinary creations, thus ensuring an authentic experience for locals and visitors alike.
Collaboration and institutional support
The organization of these events is led by Horeca Restaurantes Zaragoza, in collaboration with the Coordinating Board of Brotherhoods of Holy Week in Zaragoza and the Zaragoza City Hall-Zaragoza Tourism. Additionally, it is supported by the Government of Aragón, the Provincial Council of Zaragoza, Tourism of Aragón, and various companies such as Cervezas Ambar, CaixaBank, Melsa, Heraldo de Aragón, and IGP Ternasco de Aragón.
