Aragón Promotes Debate on Agro-food Challenges
The Department of Agriculture of the Government of Aragón organized a reflection day to address the challenges and strengths of the Aragonese agro-food sector. The meeting took place within the framework of the Aragon Agro-food Plan 2025-2028.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food, Javier Rincón, inaugurated the day «Challenges and Opportunities of the Aragonese Agro-food Sector» at the Palace of La Alfranca (Pastriz). The event served as a space for reflection and analysis where representatives and experts from the sector discussed the challenges and strengths of one of the main strategic areas of the Community.
Program and Presentations
The day included a presentation by Patricia Cirez, Director of European Affairs at Vincens Consulting, focused on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Additionally, a round table was held where professionals debated the role of technological innovation and sustainability as drivers of the present and future in the agro-food sector.
Javier Rincón emphasized that «the future of agro-food in Aragón depends on innovating, entrepreneurship, and opening markets, but never losing the essence of a sector that is part of our identity and territory. These challenges are also great opportunities, both here and globally.»
The day is part of the Aragon Agro-food Plan 2025-2028, which aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the sector, promote internationalization, and consolidate the Alimentos de Aragón brand.
