Ana López has been appointed as the new General Director of CEOE Aragón, a decision made unanimously by the Executive Committee of the confederation. This appointment took place during the first meetings under the presidency of Benito Tesier on March 25, 2026, marking a new chapter in the organization.
A distinguished career in the Aragonese business sector
With over two decades of experience in Aragonese business organizations, Ana López brings a solid background and expertise to her new role. She holds a degree in Law from the University of Zaragoza and has held key positions as legal advisor and Secretary General of CEOE Zaragoza. Her experience also extends nationally, as she is a board member of CEPYME and a member of the Social Dialogue Commission of CEOE.
Additionally, López has played an active role in the Economic and Social Council of Aragon (CESA) and has participated in the Social and Governing Councils of the University of Zaragoza. Her appointment as General Director of CEOE Aragón reinforces the confederation’s commitment to female leadership and continuity in management.
The change in leadership not only involves López’s appointment. Jesús Arnau, who previously held the position of General Director, will now take on strategic responsibilities, reporting directly to the president. This strategic move seeks to strengthen the organizational structure and adapt to the new challenges of the business environment.
Furthermore, new vice presidents have been appointed: José Ángel Subirá, Avelina Bellostas, and Juan Ciércoles. Subirá will lead the Internal Regime Commission, while Félix Gil will preside over the Economic Commission, ensuring a diversified and specialized direction.
Composition and representation in the governing bodies
The Board of Directors of CEOE Aragón consists of the president and 70 members, distributed equitably: 40% from CEOE Zaragoza, 20% from CEOE CEPYME Huesca, 20% from CEOE Teruel, and another 20% from sectoral organizations. This structure ensures balanced representation of the different areas of the region.
The Executive Committee, on its part, maintains a similar proportion with 24 members plus the president. This composition aims to reflect the diversity and needs of the various entities that make up the confederation, ensuring inclusive and representative management.
