Aragón ended the first half of 2026 with a positive net balance of 28 companies following corporate relocations, according to a report by Informa D&B. The result ranks the region fifth among Spain’s autonomous communities on this measure.
Aragón posts Spain’s fifth-best corporate balance in 2026
Between January and June, only Madrid, with 60 companies; Andalusia, with 54; the Balearic Islands, with 46; and the Valencian Community, with 36, outperformed Aragón’s net balance. They were followed by the Canary Islands, with 24; the Basque Country, with 18; Galicia, with 11; and Cantabria, with 9.
Aragón’s performance contrasts with the negative results recorded by other regions during the period. Catalonia posted a balance of -143 companies, after registering -50 in the first quarter and -93 in the second. Castile and León (-35), Navarre (-26) and Asturias (-22) also ended the half-year in negative territory.
Aragón records the third-highest rate of incoming companies
The corporate relocation report also ranks Aragón as the third autonomous community with the highest rate of incoming companies. The region recorded 1.47 arrivals for every 1,000 active companies, a figure surpassed only by Castile-La Mancha and Madrid.
This indicator measures each region’s relative ability to attract companies from other autonomous communities. In Aragón’s case, the figure complements the positive net balance recorded in the first half and strengthens its position among the regions with the strongest corporate performance.
Aragón’s corporate trend remains favorable
Recent trends point to a positive trajectory: Aragón has posted a favorable corporate balance in nine of the past 11 quarters. In addition, since Jorge Azcón took office in the regional government, the region has ended five of the six half-year periods with a positive balance.
The combination of the net gain of 28 companies, the company arrival rate and the sustained positive balances places Aragón among Spain’s top-performing regions in corporate terms during the first half of 2026.
