The ‘Aragón, land of culture’ program has concluded the year 2025 with a significant impact on cultural dissemination throughout the autonomous community, reaching nearly 25,000 spectators through 140 performances. This initiative, supported by the Government of Aragón, has involved more than 500 local artists and an investment of 725,000 euros, consolidating itself as a fundamental pillar in the promotion of Aragonese culture.
Impact and Diversity in Cultural Programming
During 2025, ‘Aragón, land of culture’ has presented a total of 140 performances that have reached 24,954 people in 96 locations and 31 regions. The programming has encompassed a wide range of artistic genres, including 61 musical performances, 22 dance shows, 15 theatre productions, 13 circus acts, 25 magic shows, and two each of literature and cinema. This array of events has been made possible by utilizing 96 unique venues, which include sites of religious heritage, theaters, auditoriums, and unconventional open spaces.
The use of emblematic stages has been one of the distinctive features of the program. Locations such as the Pueblo Viejo de Belchite, the archaeological site of Los Bañales in Uncastillo, and the Cathedral of Jaca have been part of this cultural experience, offering the public a unique environment to enjoy the arts.
Highlighted Cultural and Heritage Initiatives
One of the program’s priorities has been the promotion of the jota, with galas held in the three provincial capitals and a significant presentation at the Teatro Real in Madrid, in support of its candidacy as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Additionally, special attention has been given to municipalities affected by the DANA, providing cultural events that include choral gatherings and theater performances.
The year has also been marked by significant cultural commemorations, such as the 125th anniversary of the birth of Luis Buñuel in Calanda and María Moliner in Paniza, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Aragón.

The program’s closing event will take place on December 16 at the Espacio Basilicus in Zaragoza, featuring a program that includes dance, music, magic, circus, theatre, and Aragonese jota.
