The Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE) has approved a credit increase of 11 million euros for the Moves III plan in Aragón. This measure responds to the request submitted by the Government of Aragón in October, motivated by the lack of funding to encourage the purchase of electric vehicles in the community.
Increase of funds and justification
Until December 12, 2025, the budget transferred to Aragón for all of 2025 was 10,346,156 euros, evenly distributed between grants for the purchase of electric vehicles and the installation of charging infrastructure. The 11 million euros additional will be allocated to meet the unsatisfied demand for both aid lines.
Demand for grants for vehicle purchases
As of December 1, the General Directorate of Energy and Mines had recorded 2,547 grant applications for the acquisition of electric vehicles. These requests would require a budget close to 14.7 million euros, which represents 9.5 million euros more than what was originally transferred.
Demand for grants for charging infrastructure
1,331 requests for assistance regarding the installation of charging points have been received, which would represent a total grant of 3,697,201.89 euros. In this section, the demand is lower than the available budget, showing a deficit of approximately 1.5 million euros in relation to the allocation.
Overall, as of December 1, there was a shortfall of over 8 million euros to address all submitted requests. The 11 million euros pledged today will cover the financial gap and allow for the fulfillment of pending demands.
