The Government of Aragón has announced the opening of a grant program totaling 480,740 euros aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the commercial sector. This initiative seeks to promote investment and digitalization in commercial establishments in the region.
Details of the Grant Program
The grant program, which will accept applications from April 29 to May 28, offers subsidies that can cover up to 80% of the eligible investment, with a maximum limit of 6,000 euros per business. This measure is designed to support SMEs in improving and modernizing their facilities, as well as in adopting new technologies.
The total budget of 480,740 euros will be allocated to finance projects that include improvements in commercial premises, outfitting sales areas, universal accessibility, modernizing storefronts and signage, digital transformation, security of the sales space, and promoting omnichannel strategies. Investments must have been executed and paid for prior to the submission of the application, allowing businesses to demonstrate the effectiveness of their improvements.
Evaluation Criteria and Eligibility
Several key criteria will be considered for evaluating applications. One of the determining factors will be the geographical location of the businesses, giving higher scores to those situated in areas with lower development indices. Furthermore, the longevity and continuity of the business will be assessed, as well as membership in networks such as rural multiservice providers, which can add value to local communities.
This grant program is part of the Government of Aragón’s efforts to revitalize the commercial fabric of the region, adapting it to the new demands of the market and improving its competitiveness through digitalization and modernization of its infrastructures.
