The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Aragón experienced a notable growth of 3% in 2025, according to the Aragonese Institute of Statistics (IAEST). This increase surpasses the Spanish average and that of the Eurozone, highlighting the economic dynamism of the region.
Quarterly and Year-on-Year Increase
The quarterly growth of the Aragonese GDP reached 1.4% in the last quarter of 2025, exceeding the 0.4% of the previous quarter. This rise is significantly higher than that of Spain (0.8%) and the Eurozone (0.3%). In year-on-year terms, the GDP of Aragón grew by 2.5% compared to the same period in 2024, although slightly below the 2.6% of Spain, but well above the 1.3% of the Eurozone.
Boost from Domestic Demand
Domestic demand was key to Aragón’s growth in 2025. Household and non-profit institution consumption increased by 3.5%, while public spending rose by 2%. Notably, there was an increase of 11.5% in investment in capital goods and 7.5% in construction. However, external demand showed a negative contribution, with exports growing by 5.2% compared to an increase of 27.5% in imports.
Growth Across All Sectors
Sectoral growth in Aragón was widespread. Construction led with an increase of 6.6%, followed by the manufacturing industry at 3.5%. The services sector grew by 3.3%, with commerce, transport, and hospitality standing out at 4.6%. The primary sector, although less dynamic, also grew by 0.1%.
