The Government of Aragon, in collaboration with the public company SARGA, has launched the bidding process for the construction of three forest bases intended for the Forest Fire Prevention and Extinction Operation (INFOAR). This initiative, which involves an investment of over 1.6 million euros, aims to improve the infrastructure and working conditions of the forest brigades in the provinces of Teruel, Zaragoza, and Huesca.
Development of the base in Blancos del Coscojar, Teruel
In the province of Teruel, the Department of Environment and Tourism has initiated the bidding process to construct a new base in Blancos del Coscojar. This facility will serve as a meeting point for the helicopter-borne brigade R-23 El Planizar. The contract has an estimated value of 370,966.42 euros and a completion period of 14 months. Additionally, the investment is co-financed by the Teruel Investment Fund (FITE). Interested companies have until February 24 to submit their bids.
New base in Villanueva de Gállego, Zaragoza
In Zaragoza, the construction of a base in Villanueva de Gállego has been put out to tender. This facility will be the meeting point for the ground forest brigade R81 Bajo Gállego. The contract for this project has an estimated value of 524,769.66 euros and a completion period of two years. Bids can be submitted until March 2.
Base project in Ayerbe, Huesca
Lastly, SARGA has announced the bidding for a new base in Ayerbe, Huesca, intended for the forest brigade R31 Los Mallos. This contract has an estimated value of 726,402.54 euros, with a projected execution period between May 1 and November 15. The deadline for submitting bids also ends on March 2.
