The Government of Aragon has allocated €1.3 million to improve 23 industrial areas in the region, as part of a broader initiative mobilizing a total budget of €3 million. This initiative aims to strengthen business competitiveness, drive digital transformation, and promote sustainability in industrial parks.
Improvements in industrial areas to boost competitiveness and sustainability
The resolution published by the Government of Aragon focuses on enhancing the infrastructure of industrial areas through paving, sanitation, and access construction works. These improvements are designed to increase the competitiveness of local businesses, facilitate their digital transformation, and promote sustainable practices. The initiative, part of the Department of Economy, Competitiveness, and Employment, reflects a commitment to balanced economic development in the region.
Beneficiaries include municipalities and local entities
A total of 21 municipalities from the three Aragonese provinces will benefit from these subsidies, along with the urban conservation entity of the PTR and the Property Owners’ Community in the industrial park at Cuarte de Huerva. The call prioritizes smaller municipalities, providing a higher intensity of support to foster territorial balance and economic growth in rural areas.
Funding conditions and types of eligible projects
The subsidies cover up to 50% of the eligible investment, with a cap of €250,000 per beneficiary. Eligible projects include access improvements, implementation of digital technology, energy efficiency, security systems, and common services that enhance business competitiveness. This funding aims not only to improve infrastructure but also to prepare industrial areas for the challenges of technological transformation and energy transition.
The Director General of Industry, Mar Paños, emphasized that this call, initiated in 2024, has generated increasing interest, consolidating the strategy to make industrial parks more competitive in attracting business activity. With this effort, the Government of Aragon reaffirms its commitment to creating more efficient, safe, and sustainable productive spaces.
