IAF Brings 11 Aragonese Startups to South Summit 2023

The Aragonese Institute of Development (IAF) participates in South Summit, the main southern European event for innovation and entrepreneurship, accompanying 11 Aragonese startups and sharing a stand with five autonomous communities under the TechFabLab project. The TechFabLab project is a collaboration between the IAF and the communities of Navarra, Cantabria, Catalonia, La Rioja, and Valencia, funded by Next Generation EU through the RETECH initiative of the Government of Spain. During the event, Daniel Rey, managing director of the IAF, emphasized the importance of acceleration programs based on disruptive technologies, as well as calls for aid aimed at innovative technology-based companies. This meeting provides a unique opportunity for Aragonese startups to connect with international investors.

Eleven Aragonese Startups in Action

The 11 Aragonese companies participating in the event are: Bioclonal, Etiqmedia, Nexio, Sfice, Lirio Bionics, Switching Consulting, The MindKind, Voicefinder, Xelab Hub, Snailstep, and Teleker. These startups have the opportunity to make pitches to present their products and services to investors, as well as participate in B2B meetings that facilitate the establishment of business contacts. Visibility in the joint exhibition space with other autonomous communities is also a key factor for their promotion.

South Summit is a great opportunity for startups in our ecosystem to become known in the international market. For our entrepreneurs, meeting with top-tier investors and being in contact with other startups in their ecosystem not only provides a business opportunity but also serves as a way to grow their projects with new perspectives, indicated the managing director of the Aragonese Institute of Development, Daniel Rey.

The South Summit event has served as a platform to position the innovative Aragonese ecosystem, facilitating interregional synergies and generating funding opportunities for technological ventures. The collaboration between different communities explains the collective approach to innovation and support for entrepreneurship in Spain.
