The Government of Aragón presented a study that quantifies the economic impact of the activities carried out at Feria Zaragoza between 2023 and 2024. The report highlights the relevance of the venue as an economic engine and an international showcase.
The study reveals that the average annual economic impact generated by Feria Zaragoza amounts to 422 million euros. This analysis covers the period from 2023 to 2024 and estimates that the venue will welcome more than 500,000 visitors. These figures underscore the importance of the fair as a key element in the regional economy.
The study details the average spending per visitor, highlighting that those coming from abroad invest an average of 318 euros/day, while domestic visitors spend 185 euros/day. With 7% of international visitors at specific events, the economic impact extends to multiple sectors, including hotels, dining, transportation, and local commerce.
The Vice President of Aragón, Mar Vaquero, reaffirmed government support, emphasizing its role as a driver of employment and the economy. She also mentioned plans aimed at attracting events and a young audience to the fairgrounds and the Palacio de Congresos. For his part, Jorge Villarroya, president of Feria Zaragoza, highlighted the structural role of the institution in the Aragonese economy, emphasizing the international exposure generated by fair activities.
