The museums of the Government of Aragon are launching a new edition of their renowned art and literature competition, aimed at students, which seeks to foster youth creativity. This cultural event, established in the region, will take place starting in December 2025.
The competition features the participation of various prestigious cultural institutions, such as the IAACC Pablo Serrano, the Zaragoza Museum, the Huesca Museum, the Pedagogical Museum of Aragon, and the Juan Cabré Museum. The main objective is to stimulate the creative spirit in children and adolescents, encouraging interest in art from an early age. Additionally, it aims to enhance the participation of families and children in cultural programs, offering a structured leisure alternative for youth.
Under the motto ExpressArt in Peace, the competition is organized into two main categories: art and literature. In the art category, works are accepted in any technique, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and collage. Meanwhile, in the literature category, works can be in prose or verse, covering genres such as narrative, poetry, and essay, in any of the languages and linguistic variations used in Aragon. Participation is open to students from the first year of preschool to the end of high school.
Participation is individual, although the involvement of schools and art academies is encouraged. These institutions can schedule visits to the participating museums to inspire contestants and reinforce their creativity.
Registration Deadlines and Prizes
The submission period for works begins on December 22, 2025, and extends until March 31, 2026, inclusive of both days. The winners will be awarded a gift package containing educational and teaching materials. The awards ceremony will take place in May, concluding this initiative that seeks to highlight and reward young talent in Aragon.
