The XXX Bourbon Festival Turns Zaragoza into the Epicenter of American Rock with Robert Finley, Carolyn Wonderland, and Lilly Hiatt
The ninth edition of the festival organized by Rock & Blues Café will take place from October 23 to November 23, featuring eleven concerts that combine international figures from blues, country, and soul with national references. Six of the events will be free entry, while the rest will have ticket prices ranging from 15 to 25 euros.
The event will bring together top artists such as Robert Finley, a blues singer and guitarist born in Louisiana in 1954, who will kick off the series on October 23. Carolyn Wonderland, a renowned guitarist from Houston compared to Janis Joplin and Stevie Ray Vaughan, will perform on October 31. Lilly Hiatt, daughter of songwriter John Hiatt, will present her new album Forever on November 8.
The national lineup includes Sol Lagarto, a Barcelona-based band with over 800 concerts who returns after a hiatus since 2018, and Sex Museum, pioneers of Madrid’s hard rock scene celebrating their anniversary tour after 40 years in the industry.
Pablo ‘Patxi’ Cano, owner and programmer of Rock & Blues, emphasizes that «the Bourbon Festival is more than established» and that «year after year, the audience shows they eagerly await it.» The series, which has only paused during the pandemic, has positioned the venue as a national reference for live rock and blues.
