On July 10, 2025, at the Vice Presidency of the Government of Aragón, an agreement was signed between Mecanus Innovación and GDELS-Santa Bárbara Sistemas to integrate advanced drone detection technology and protection against overhead attacks in armored vehicles, highlighting the significance of this advancement for the defense industry in Aragón.
Technology and Collaboration
The technology developed by Mecanus Innovación, which includes artificial intelligence algorithms, is designed for both fixed surveillance posts and moving vehicles. GDELS-Santa Bárbara Sistemas will be responsible for integrating these systems into their armored vehicles, providing testing and validation scenarios.
This agreement accelerates the development and commercialization of Mecanus technology, while also strengthening the national supply chain of GDELS-Santa Bárbara by incorporating cutting-edge technologies.
