Eighth EMC Spain-Portugal Conference at ITA Zaragoza
From November 18 to 20, 2025, the Institute of Technology of Aragon (ITA) will host the eighth edition of the Spanish Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Conferences, which will have an international character by including Portugal for the first time. This meeting constitutes the first Ibero-Portuguese congress of experts in EMC from the academic and business sectors, positioning Zaragoza as a center for technological innovation in this field.
EMC is essential to ensure that electronic devices—from electric cars to airplanes, household appliances, and phones—operate correctly without causing interference with one another. Before any product can be marketed, it must undergo rigorous reliability testing in real-world environments to comply with CE marking regulations and international standards. ITA has a semi-anechoic chamber where these tests are conducted under controlled conditions.
During the conference, the latest technological and scientific advances in EMC will be presented, promoting knowledge transfer between research centers, universities, and companies. There will be an exhibition area where companies specializing in instrumentation, software, and services will showcase technological solutions. Professionals from various industrial and academic sectors from Spain and Portugal will participate.
The safe and efficient development of strategic sectors such as automotive, aerospace, rail, and aeronautics directly depends on electromagnetic compatibility. The conference represents a step toward a more reliable and connected technological society, continuing from its first edition in Zaragoza in 2015.
