The Provincial Council of Zaragoza has approved the allocation of 150,000 euros in aid aimed at 19 associations and social entities working in the prevention and assistance of gender-based violence in the province. These grants seek to strengthen programs focused on awareness-raising, psychological support, direct assistance to victims, and education on equality.
The beneficiary entities are developing a wide range of projects: workshops for young people, support for women in vulnerable situations, training to detect and stop violent behaviors, information campaigns, and community activities that promote equitable relationships. The DPZ emphasizes that all these initiatives help to weave an essential support network in rural areas, where many women face greater difficulties in accessing specialized resources.
The provincial institution stresses that the fight against male violence requires constant and coordinated work with the associative fabric, which acts as the first point of support for many victims and plays a key role in prevention.
With this call for applications, the Provincial Council of Zaragoza reaffirms its commitment to equality policies and to eradicating all forms of violence against women and girls, supporting the fundamental work carried out by associations in the municipalities of the province.
