Claudia Pérez Forniés, Councilor for Employment, Science, and Universities, has reaffirmed her department’s commitment to employment training in the Somontano de Barbastro region, highlighting the importance of the INAEM’s Experiential Employment Program «Entaban XIII». This initiative focuses on equipping participants with skills in high-demand specialties in the region, thereby strengthening the local productive fabric.
Specialized Training in Somontano
The «Entaban XIII» program has been designed to train 16 trainee-workers in two key areas: Social and Health Care Assistance and the Promotion of Information and Citizen Attention Services. These profiles are essential for sectors such as residences, day centers, and local tourism. The training combines theory and practice, allowing students to apply their knowledge in various environments in Somontano, which facilitates their integration into the labor market.
The relevance of this program lies in its ability to respond to the specific needs of the region, offering training that aligns with the actual demands of local institutions and businesses. This not only improves the employability of the participants, but also contributes to the economic development of the area.
Impact and Employability
The experiential programs of the INAEM, such as «Entaban XIII», have proven effective in enhancing employability, achieving an average success rate of 70%. Jaime Cuchi, the program director, emphasizes that after 12 months of training, students not only obtain a certificate but also have direct access to the labor market. Partner organizations have expressed their interest in hiring these students, reinforcing the effectiveness of the training provided.
This practical and job-oriented approach is crucial in a context where adapting to the needs of the labor market is essential for the economic and social growth of communities.
Extension of the Training Model
The success of the «Entaban XIII» program is part of a broader strategy from the INAEM, which currently manages 67 experiential employment programs in over 30 municipalities in Aragón. These programs not only focus on technical training but also incorporate digital skills and are designed to include groups facing greater difficulties in accessing employment.
This inclusive and adaptive approach is fundamental to ensuring that employment opportunities are accessible to all, thus contributing to a more equitable and sustainable development in the three provinces of Aragón.
