The event ExplorArte brought together around a hundred people at the headquarters of the Instituto Aragonés de la Juventud in Zaragoza, as part of the Entrepreneurship Week in Aragón. The day focused on the confluence of art, entrepreneurship, and female empowerment, featuring the opening remarks by Cristina Navarro, director of the Institute of Youth.
In the inauguration, María Antoñanzas, director of the Instituto Aragonés de la Mujer, and Pedro Pardo, from the Fundación Aragón Emprende, participated. Both highlighted the importance of art in overcoming the challenges of entrepreneurship. Antoñanzas stated that «entrepreneurship through art is an act of social transformation,» while Pardo emphasized that it represents «something disruptive that opens our eyes to other forms of entrepreneurship.»
Beatriz Lucea, an art historian and cultural manager, delivered the first presentation entitled «Managing Art: Where Passion Becomes a Project.» In this talk, she addressed the relationship between art, culture, and entrepreneurship, the connection between artistic and entrepreneurial skills, as well as the challenges and opportunities for venturing into the world of art.
An experiential panel featured four Aragonese artists: Alicia Blasco (digital illustrator), Ira Torres (multidisciplinary artist), Olga S. Ortiz (Art Director and photographer), and Rebeca Zarza (visual artist and designer). The event also included a performance by ELEM, a composer, singer, and pianist, and a live artistic demonstration by Laura Gracia «Lalá», featuring graphic representation in watercolor and markers.
