Claudia Pérez Forniés Highlights AMASOL Foundation Programs in Aragón

The Minister of Employment, Science, and Universities, Claudia Pérez Forniés, recently visited the AMASOL Foundation, an Aragonese entity dedicated to supporting single-parent families. During the visit, the training and employment programs developed by the foundation in collaboration with INAEM were reviewed, highlighting their positive impact on the community.

Training and Employment Programs at the AMASOL Foundation

During the tour, Pérez Forniés learned about two key initiatives: the New Opportunity Schools and the Experiential Program Concilia y Convive. The New Opportunity Schools provide 15 young people with certified vocational training, along with personalized support to facilitate their access to employment. On the other hand, the Experiential Program Concilia y Convive trains 10 women as community facilitators, combining learning with paid employment.

These programs not only provide training but also offer a comprehensive support structure that facilitates the labor market integration of their participants, an aspect that the minister highlighted as crucial for improving the economic situation of single-parent families.

Impact of the CONCILIA Agreement

During her visit, Pérez Forniés emphasized the CONCILIA agreement signed with AMASOL, which aims to improve work-life balance and access to employment for women with family responsibilities. This program offers personalized training and is expected to benefit approximately 66 individuals, of whom 75% achieve employment before completing their training. The scope of the agreement extends to the provinces of Huesca and Teruel, thereby expanding its regional impact.

Patricia Durán, director of the AMASOL Foundation, underscored that by 2025, an employment insertion rate of over 60% was achieved among participants in these programs, reflecting the effectiveness of the initiatives and the collaboration between institutions.

Conclusions from the Visit

Claudia Pérez Forniés emphasized that the programs of the AMASOL Foundation «train, guide, and integrate their participants into the labor market,» acting as a true gateway to employment for many single-parent families. This visit highlights the importance of strategic alliances between the public sector and entities like AMASOL to promote social and economic development in Aragon.
