Aragón becomes the epicenter of Vocational Training in Spain by hosting the National VET Team meeting. From February 11 to 13, 2026, national and regional experts, along with ministerial representatives, will gather to promote the quality, innovation, and internationalization of vocational training.
Boosting Internationalization and Modernization of Vocational Training
The inaugural day took place at the Innovation Center for Vocational Training in Aragón, presided over by Luis Mallada, General Director of Planning, Centers, and Vocational Training of the Government of Aragón, and José Manuel Sánchez, director of the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE). Mallada emphasized that internationalization is essential for quality and employability, highlighting Aragón’s commitment to vocational training aligned with digital transformation and European mobility.
This meeting aims to position vocational training as a driver of change, adapting to the demands of the current job market through the integration of digital technologies and sustainable practices.
Visits to Reference Centers and Innovative Practices
The program includes visits to prominent Aragonese centers that are benchmarks of best practices. These include CIFPA in Zaragoza, specialized in transport and logistics; CPIFP Pirámide in Huesca, focused on renewable energies; and CPIFP Montearagón, also in Huesca, which focuses on the social economy and caregiving. These centers provide examples of methodological innovation and advanced learning spaces.
Additionally, participants will visit CPIFP San Lorenzo, known as the Huesca Hospitality School, and the Digital Campus, allowing them to witness firsthand the advances in international mobility and educational methodologies.
International Collaboration and Closure of the Event
Throughout the three days, working meetings and exchange sessions will be held with international experts, including collaboration with the National VET Team from the Netherlands. These activities reinforce vocational training’s commitment to international mobility and the use of European tools such as Europass and ECVET.
The meeting concludes on February 13 with the final meeting of the working groups and the closing led by SEPIE. This event stands out for its focus on digital transformation and its contribution to Erasmus+ projects, reaffirming the role of vocational training in the European context.
