Training as a Lever for Profitability: HORECA Zaragoza Enhances Its Offering for 2026 with Applied Management and AI

The Horeca Zaragoza kicks off 2026 with a training program clearly oriented towards the current concerns of restaurant owners: profitability, business control, and practical use of technology. The association has designed an advanced offering aimed at entrepreneurs, executives, and middle management of restaurants and hotels, with a strong focus on the daily realities of the sector.

The program, driven by the Training and Employment Department of the federation, is supported by the Directorate General of Tourism and Hospitality of the Government of Aragon and will be developed during the first quarter of the year. It is not a generic proposal: it is designed to respond to a context marked by rising costs, pressure on margins, and the need to make better decisions with less available time.

Four courses, one common goal: better management of the business

The program is structured around four strategic training actions:

  • 360° Management of Your Restaurant, which reaches its third edition after the success of previous sessions.
  • AI Tools to Improve Productivity, focused on optimizing tasks and management time.
  • AI Applied to Restaurants, with direct applications in purchasing, kitchen, dining, marketing, HR, and financial control.
  • AI Applied to Hotels, tailored to the specific operations and needs of the hotel sector.

Particular emphasis is again placed on the course 360° Management of Your Restaurant, taught by Luis Váquer, CEO of Grupo Vaquer Restaurantes. His approach is based on real management experience: numbers, cost control, difficult yet profitable decisions, without unnecessary theory.

AI comes to the dining room and the bottom line

One of the main innovations of this program is the introduction, for the first time in Aragon, of specific training in Artificial Intelligence applied to hospitality. Far from abstract approaches, HORECA presents AI as a daily tool to improve productivity, automate tasks, plan better, and free up managerial time.

In this area, the federation also starts its first collaboration with Gastro Uni, a nationally recognized entity specializing in the management of hospitality businesses, allowing for the incorporation of methodology and experts with direct experience in the real application of these technologies.

Training to survive and grow

For the president of Horeca Zaragoza, Fernando Martín, advanced training is no longer optional: it is a strategic tool for the survival and growth of businesses in the sector. In his view, Artificial Intelligence only makes sense if integrated into a comprehensive vision of professional management aimed at improving profitability and creating time for strategy.

Hospitality remains an economic and employment pillar in Aragon, and professionalization is solidifying as one of the major challenges for the sector. With this program, Horeca Zaragoza strengthens its role as a strategic ally for restaurant owners, focusing on practical, useful training aligned with the real issues of the business.
